BE A PROTEST ARTIST
The Church Project, in Church Street, is an unconventional space centered around the nexus of politics, art and life. Its new exhibition, titled “Say No To War”, allows visitors to graffiti the walls, using the art materials supplied, so you can express your sentiments towards war.

DISCOVER EMERGING DJ’S AT THE SUNDAY SESSIONS
Support rising artists at Sunday Sessions, in De Waterkant at the trendy KONG. There’s a little something for everyone, including a fantastic line-up, lunch and cocktails. You won’t want to miss out on the live set from the rarely seen Re.dah. Take over this lush and aesthetic space by grooving your way into Monday (which is also a public holiday – did you remember?).

CELEBRATE LOCAL TALENT, FOOD AND WINE
There’ll be music, food and wine on the decks at the Royal Yacht Club, in the port of Cape Town. Spend the afternoon listening to the freshest local music the city has to offer. Plus the view is absolutely breathtaking, and it has an excellent à la carte menu. Bookings are essential.

EXPLORE THE CITY’S CREATIVE SCENE
Connect with the Mother City’s creative talent at the vibrant Last Sunday Sessions, in Woodstock. This family-friendly market boasts live performances with local brands, various food vendors and memorable activities (like a pop-up tattoo parlour). Tickets available at the door or online.

JOIN A MEMORIAL RUN
Join in on the memorial run at UCT to commemorate those who have passed, in special honour of Merriyln Smith who pioneered the revival of women's running at UCT in the late 1970s. The event will be hosted by UCT’s Athletics Club and will include various prizes along with a medal up for grabs. You can sign up at the Sweat Shop ahead of the race (cash only), pre-race day at the UCT sports centre or on the day (from 6am).

Cost: Entries R50 (juniors); R75 (unlicensed juniors); R80 (seniors); R120 (unlicensed seniors)
OPT FOR A DAY OF MUSIC AND FOOD
House music draws together diverse cultures, artists, music lovers and dancers, and you can tap into that at We House Sundays, which is holding an intimate session featuring FRED EVERYTHING, along with a supporting lineup. It's a day to embrace music, food and friends in the heart of the city.
