New moon is a time for setting intentions. If being outdoors beats being cooped up in an office, then dust off your hiking gear and start gathering some like-minded friends for this nature-loving event. The New Moon Night Walks are a community-driven initiative that aims to facilitate time in nature for all. The walks are a fun way to see unique parts of the Helderberg Nature Reserve and are a superb family-friendly outing (children over the age of 12 are welcome), especially during the warm summer season. Bring a bunch of friends or plan an active date night out – just don’t forget your flashlight, comfy walking shoes or extra batteries! The next walk takes place at the reserve on Saturday 5 January 2019 and will be guided by Andreas Groenewald. Parking is available inside. The walk commences at 8pm.
The Friends of the Helderberg Nature Reserve organised this event for people to get together and explore the beauty of the surrounding conservation area. Helderberg is a wine-producing area in the Western Cape and has plenty of breathtaking views.
TICKETS FOR THE 2019 NEW MOON NIGHT WALKS AT HELDERBERG NATURE RESERVE
