Sit back, relax and enjoy an outdoor lunch at one of these beautiful wine farms
Summer and picnics. They go hand-in-hand. There is nothing quite like celebrating the warm weather with friends and family while relaxing under a shady tree with a basket full of foodie delights and a couple bottles of wine. And fortunately for us Mother City folk there are plenty of spectacular locations in and around Cape Town perfect for enjoying an alfresco feast.
What’s more, many wine farms situated around Cape Town are extending their hospitality to cater for the much-loved summer picnic combo. Offering ready-packed or create-your-own food hampers full of scrumptious savoury and sweet treats (not to mention a bottle or two of vino), guests are able to enjoy the outdoor spread at one of their favourite wine estates showcasing some of the most breathtaking settings in the country. All you have to do is call and book and they do the rest for you – it is that easy. The most difficult part in fact is deciding which wine estate to visit first!
