Hunt for eggs on a wine farm, beach club, forest and more

What’s Easter weekend without egg-citing Easter hunts? There are loads of family-filled affairs happening in and around the city. There’s an egg hunt with a special prize, painting and playing in Majik Forest, searching for chocolates treats on a wine farm and a beach club extravaganza. Happy hopping!
This popular neighbourhood is hosting loads of egg hunts across the precincts. There’s an Easter Sunday extravaganza with entertainment for kids and parents, egg hunts in escape rooms, and chocolate eggs and live shows at a beach club. Find out more about the hunts, as well as other Easter events at the V&A Waterfront.

Hop on over to the picturesque Dwarsrivier for an Easter scavenger hunt. Starting at the Valley’s tourism office, you’ll receive your first clue and set out to hunt across three sites. Each site has its own clues to unlock, with a total of five eggs to collect. The first set of participants to return with all the clues solved will win accommodation stay with breakfast included. The event ends with a braai.

Spend the day outside at Kids Yoga’s Easter event, perfect for little yogi's aged five to eight. They’re hosting a yoga session, followed by an Easter egg hunt, at Noordhoek Common. Parents can relax on a picnic blanket, while kids search for treats hidden all over the park.

Bring the family and join The Mall of Africa as they host an Easter egg hunt play and paint in the park. Kids can run around and hunt for eggs in between the grassy banks, while parents relax on manicured lawns in the park. After the hunt, kids can join a painting session in the park. Canvases will be set up as soon as the hunt is done.

On Easter Sunday, the Easter Bunny will hide treats all over Spier Wine Farm. Kids need to solve the clues using a map and gather five clues before exchanging them for a surprise (hint: there are cookies and Easter eggs). And for parents, you’ll need to hone your investigative skills to determine which Spier wine you like best. There will be various tasting stations along the route.

Palm House Boutique Hotel has a day planned for the entire family. It kicks off with a set menu at La Carte Restaurant, set under a verandah that’s surrounded by lush trees (keep a lookout on their socials for the menu) and after lunch, kids and parents can join an Easter egg hunt in the hotel garden. Booking is essential.

Why hunt for shells by the seashore when you can hunt for chocolate at CABO Beach Club? There’ll be loads of entertainment, games, and of course, an Easter egg hunt. Parents can dine at the restaurant and relax on the loungers while the kids splash around in the tropical-themed shallow pool.
