Joel Karabo Elliott Live in Cape Town

A night of fabulous live music at the Blah Blah Bar in Cape Town...

This Wednesday, 11 January at 7pm, Joel Karabo Elliott, an American/Moroka songwriter and instrumentalist will treat Capetonians to his unique musical stylings at the Blah Blah Bar in the city centre. The concert will feature several of Joel’s favourite band members as well as his co-collaborators and the likes of Black South Easter and Nono Nkoane.

You can expect a musical calling to defragment the mind and reach simplicity as Joel draws his inspiration from mother Africa and her American Branches. You can expect to hear songs from his album, Roots Grown deep, which was released in 2013, Grow Within and You Shall Not Go Without. You are guaranteed not to be disappointed with the carefully curated song selection that will be performed.

Adding to your night is the venue itself - the Blah Blah Bar is a special venue that promises to provide in-house collections and playlists curated by musicians and DJ’s that have performed there. After the show you are more than welcome to wander upstairs and imbibe some much-needed cultural input as Erdmann Contemporary, which is one of Cape Town’s oldest art galleries is based there, right there!

Be sure to enjoy some good music, cocktails and yummy pizza, salads and tapas on their newly formulated menu. The whole evening will be a worthwhile experience, especially, because of the musical stylings of Joel Karabo Elliott - we hope you are as excited as we are.

Tickets to Joel Karabo Elliott live at Blah Blah Bar are available at the door and will cost R80p/p. For R200p/p you will receive a ticket and a ‘Grow Within’ album. Be sure to get there at 7pm when the show starts and enjoy the concert until around 10pm where you can then enjoy the vibe of the restaurant.
