End off your weekend with a peaceful journey through the magnificent world of classical music, when the Cape Town Philharmonic Orchestra (CPO) and the Cape Town Philharmonic Youth Orchestra (CPYO) team up under the lead of Italian-American conductor Carlo Ponti, for a performance of Peter and the Wolf. The concert will sound off at the Cape Town City Hall on Sunday, 13 November 2016 at 6pm.
Ponti is known for his unique interpretive depth of the music he conducts and has received international acclaim and numerous awards over the past decade. He has led multiple orchestras in Europe and the Americas, and has been a popular feature at major international festivals around the globe. Watch his unique live rendition of the famous Russian tale of a boy, his pets, and a wolf – with the ultimate victory over the hungry canine.
For this one-night performance, the musical master will be joined on stage by the hilarious Evita Bezuidenhout (Peter-Dirk Uys) in a show that you cannot miss. So, book your tickets soon and get lost in the soulful sounds of our talented local orchestras.
