Rod Stewart to Tour South Africa for the First Time in 25 Years
Rod Stewart is to once again grace us with his presence in South Africa after a quarter of a century
After a 25-year interval, Rod Stewart is returning to South Africa for a three-date national tour in December, with a live concert planned for Cape Town on 1 December.
Riding a new wave of success with his recent Great American Songbook albums featuring pop standards, Stewart's raspy voice is one of the most recognisable of our time.
The 63 year-old music legend had been knocking around the London club scene with groups like Steampacket and Long John Baldry's band before he connected with ace guitarist Jeff Beck in 1968.
Throughout the '80s and '90s, Rod Stewart remained a consistent presence on the charts, with smash hits like Young Turks, Forever Young, Downtown Train and Have I Told You Lately from his Unplugged…and Seated album.
