Have a fun weekend with the Voice of the Cape

This annual family-friendly festival is back and there will be plenty of interesting stalls, delicious food and breathtaking rides to give you four days of fun! Take part in the festivities at the Voice of the Cape Summer Festival at Vygieskraal Stadium from Thursday, 1 December to Sunday, 4 December 2016.

The Voice of the Cape, known locally as VOC, is an Islamic community radio station based in Cape Town. Their content is mainly aimed at the Muslim community of the Western Cape and covers religious education, while also reporting on current events, politics and socio-economic issues. The annual VOC Summer Festival is the highlight of the year for the radio station and many people in the local Muslim community.

The fair is open to everyone, so make sure to invite your family and friends to join the fun! Kids and adrenaline-junkies will love the thrilling rides and competitive sports events around the stadium. Patrons can enjoy live music and entertainment for the duration of the festival.

Shop around at the exciting stalls all over the venue and purchase trendy Islamic wear, household items, books and more! There will also be an assortment of tasty (and fully halaal) meals available from a variety of diverse food stalls as well as warm drinks from the tea garden.

Entry to the festival can be purchased at the gate and will cost R20p/p for adults and R10p/p for pensioners and children under the age of 12. There will be free parking available at the stadium. Gates open at 6pm.

Please note: There won’t be any ATMs at the venue, so patrons are required to bring cash along.
