The gorgeous valley becomes a wedding wonderland in April

Romance meets whimsy and collides with fantasy at this extravagant wedding showcase in the Winelands. Taking place on Saturday, 16 April 2016, this expo is all about showing you why Franschhoek is the perfect place to say I do.

Brides, grooms or simply those obsessed with amour can congregate at the Franschhoek Cellar, where there’ll be a delightful assembly of wedding suppliers on hand, ready to help you plan your day from designing your invites to saying yes to the dress. A bevy of beauteous stalls await, with venues, dress designers, wineries, photographers and more all represented.

Franschhoek is one of the Cape’s favourite wedding destinations and it’s really not hard to see why. With estates like Rickety Bridge, Môreson, Grande Paris and Vrede en Lust adorning the valley, the hot spot is a prime location for any couple dreaming of a vineyard ceremony. Aside from the breathtaking scenery, it also happens to be a food and wine hub in South Africa, so foodies and cellar aficionados are bound to be satisfied with the varied gourmet and alcoholic offerings.

You can also opt to use Franschhoek’s online wedding registry, which will allow you as the bridal couple to choose an assortment of beautiful gifts from the multitude of artisan and specialist shops in the vicinity.
