Visit your favourite spots around the Cape from your couch
Take in all of Cape Town's beauty from the safety and comfort of your couch.
Scroll through some incredible pics of Kloof Corner, Oudeschip in Sandy Bay, Babylonstoren (of course) and other a few gems you might not even know about. Put them on your list of places to visit when we're out of lockdown and you can go be a tourist in our amazing city.
The Kloof Corner trail is the easiest hike up Table Mountain, where you’ll revel in the amazing views of Lion’s Head and the whole of Table Bay. We miss those chilly mornings with a flask of hot coffee and spectacular views - as well as Friday afternoon sundowners.

Take the Sandy Bay Shipwreck hiking trail, a pretty easy walk that leads to the Harvest Capella shipwreck (1986) on the Oudeschip Peninsula. On the way to the shipwreck, you can soak up the view of the coastline between Llandudno and Hout Bay.

EXPLORE THE GARDEN OF BABYLONSTOREN
Babylonstoren, with the Simonsberg, Du Toitskloof and Franschhoek mountains as a backdrop, is one of the oldest Cape Dutch farms, dating back to 1962. The main attraction is its majestic 3.5-hectare fruit and vegetable garden that has over 3km of paths to explore.

The colony of African Penguins waddling around Boulders Beach in False Bay have charmed many locals and visitors alike. It is Cape Town’s most visited beach, and the wooden walkways make it easy to get up close to take a snap of these feathery fellows.

THE CITY VIEWS OF LION'S HEAD
It’ll be hard to find a Capetonian that hasn’t reached the top of the iconic Lion’s Head peak at least once. On a clear day, the peak offers picture-perfect views of Table Mountain, Camps Bay, The 12 Apostles Mountain Range, Camps Bay and Clifton beaches, Signal Hill, Robben Island, and the city.

THE MAGNIFICENT ZEITZ MOCCA
No serious Instagrammer should miss the award-winning architecture and fascinating exhibitions at the Zeitz Museum of Contemporary Art Africa. It is housed in the old grain silo at the V&A Waterfront. Walk through 100 gallery spaces and don’t forget to take in the astounding interior, which was modelled from a piece of corn that was found in the old mill before construction began.

MUIZENBERG’S BEACH HUTS
The popular surfing spot of Muizenberg Beach is synonymous with its brightly painted bathing boxes that stand along the shoreline. A trip to Muizenberg is not complete without posing in front of the vivid and photogenic huts.

THE VIBRANT BO-KAAP
Rich in history, Bo-Kaap is also known for its eye-catching houses that line the hillside above the CBD. Not a day goes by that this neighbourhood is not bustling with tourists who want to add some colour to their holiday snaps.
