Cape Town is filled with wine related events and for those that practice the Jewish faith, it is impossible for them to partake in that merriment. Well, no longer. On Thursday, 18 May 2017, the South African Jewish Museum is hosting a wine and food pairing evening especially for those that only eat or drink kosher produce.
The evening will be filled with delicious food in the form of a four course meal, prepared by Cafe Riteve which will be paired with wines from Zandwijk Wines and Unorthodox Wines. The exact pairings will be decided on by the in-house winemaker and wine guide Jean. Her surname is a secret I guess, like Cher. The dress code for the event is semi-formal so just think of it as going out for dinner, with a wine experience that your Jewish friends can enjoy.
We do not have any word on what the menu features exactly, but you can rest assured that Jean will have the perfect kosher wine to pair with it. Please note that bookings for the event will close on Wednesday, 10 May 2017 so make sure you get your booking in soon!
