3D lights, lasers, holographs and more at this city nightclub
Last updated: Wednesday, 6 December 2023
Is this the future of nightclubs? HALO has just opened in the city centre with decor and visuals that make you feel like you’re stepping into a different world. There’s lasers dancing on the ceiling, 3D lights, holographic moons behind the DJ deck and two dance floors. Plus, top local musicians are lined up for live music nights.

HALO looks like something from the Star Wars or Guardians of the Galaxy universe (there’s even a Baby Groot accessory to boot).
There’s 3D lightscapes, moving lights on the ceilings, holographic moons, a red light tunnel and lit up speakers built into a bar. The club is strictly 21 and over, and it’s also open for film shoots and corporate venue hire.

The space is split up into two areas: The main dance floor and the groove bar where you can grab cocktails and sit in the lounge.
Every weekend there’s different live performances, from DJ sets to live music nights. Upcoming local singers include Craig Lucas and Jeremy Loops, while local DJs include Talia Zaken and Amith. To see the performers lineup see HALO's event page.

HALO is open: Wednesday, 6pm to 12pm; Thursday to Sunday, 8pm to late (First Thursdays, open at 6pm)
Find it: 71 Loop Street (across from Butter), Cape Town City Centre
