Escape the city rush and head to the beautiful vineyard-surrounded Winelands for an afternoon with the wonderful Matthew Mole. South Africa’s sweetheart will be strumming on his guitar and belting out the songs that made him a household name at Franschhoek Cellar on Sunday, 27 August 2017. Show some love and sing along!
The award-winning singer/songwriter won the hearts of thousands nationwide with his hit track, ‘Take Yours, I’ll Take Mine’. His debut album, ‘The Home We Built’, went gold, while his recent follow-up album ‘Run’ topped the charts on iTunes South Africa. His sweet, clear vocals and guitar medleys, along with his inviting demeanour makes it easy to see why Matthew has been making musical waves in SA as well as abroad.
If you haven’t seen Matthew live yet, or are unfamiliar with his music, we highly recommend you take this chance as his live performances are something special. This loveable Capetonian stays perfectly on key and even gets chatty with the audience in between songs.
The Franschhoek Cellar sits in the heart of Cape wine country, around an hour’s drive the city centre. A trip to a wine estate in the Cape Winelands is always invigorating; you can breathe in the fresh air, take in the view of the mountain range while sipping a glass of quality vino. Franschhoek Cellar is just one of those wine estates you leave with your soul feeling re-energised. It has a selection of top-notch wines, healthy rolling lawns and delicious food. It’s a family-friendly place too, with a kid’s play area to boot. Arrive at the Matthew Mole gig early and grab a bite to eat before the singer takes to the stage, or simply order drinks and nibbles to have while you enjoy the show.
