Thunderbolts and lightning – a gallery of the Cape Town storm

Capetonians were on the edge of the seat last night as they were treated to a rare summertime thunderstorm which lasted several hours. 

Lightning bolts lit up the night sky as scattered showers fell, providing some much-needed relief from the ongoing Western Cape drought.
