“The Netherlands was the Western Cape’s fifth-largest passenger market with over 27 000 two-way passengers in 2021, and the second-largest export market, with over R14 billion worth of goods exported in 2021,” according to aviation news site Airspace Africa.
The additional flights will go a long way in supporting and growing this connection. The new seasonal schedule, which kicks off on 1 November 2022, will take the current seven weekly flights to a total of 10. A perk of this increase is that in addition to the daily “day flight”, customers will now be able to choose “night flights” three times a week from Amsterdam.
