The Gastronomica in Knysna is to show the amazing talent in this South African part of the world. Gastronomica aims to stimulate a sustainable tourism industry in and the Garden Route by providing an exciting focus on Knysna's growing reputation as a forward thinking culinary and tourist centre in South Africa.

24 September 2008 – Food Theatre

Family fishing, kids fruit cocktails, bread baking, sweets & treats and art.
Fish and beverages will be exhibited, demonstrated and tasted.
There will be organic salads, bread, fruit, veggies and more, as well as health and beauty products.
In the Lifestyle section sweets & treats, coffee, books and art will be found.
The meat section will have new amazing organic beef, lamb and ostrich.

All Knysna Gastronomica's Restaurant chefs will demonstrate their signature dishes.
Entertainments all day...dance song and music.

25 - 27 September - two days of demonstrations.

Workshops and talks by very special people.
Interesting subjects like "should we take supplements" will be debated.
New books launched and some of the recipes demonstrated and tasted.
Understanding how to know what you are buying.
And of course we must have chocolate...chocolate...chocolate!
