One Direction Concerts South Africa
UK heart-throbs are headed in one direction: Mzansi!
Niall Horan, Liam Payne, Harry Styles and Louis Tomlinson from One Direction are confirmed to stop over in South Africa for the first time ever for a two-city concert tour in 2015. The English-Irish pop boy band announced on YouTube on Sunday, 18 May that they would be performing two shows in Johannesburg and one in Cape Town as part of their On The Road Again tour.

- 1 APRIL: Cape Town – Cape Town Stadium - Tickets
Brought together by renowned insult-slinging The X Factor judge and A&R executive Simon Cowell, One Direction first wowed UK audiences with their performances on the show, and after placing third in the seventh season of the series in 2010, they were signed to Cowell’s label.
Despite their failure to win the competition, the group’s international success has eclipsed that of any other act.
The foursome (member Zayn Malik left in early 2015) has released three albums, namely Up All Night (2011), Take Me Home (2012) and Midnight Memories (2013), becoming the first band since The Beatles to have two number one albums in the US in the same year. Since that accomplishment, they’ve continued to top the charts globally, break several records and win countless awards.
Their hit singles include the likes of ‘What Makes You Beautiful’, ‘Live While We're Young’, ‘Story of My Life’ and the ‘Best Song Ever’, but no matter which tunes the hunky boy band chooses to play, one thing is for sure, they’ll have crowds of teens, parents and pop music lovers screaming for more.
