Boutique accommodation to open in Cape Town

The highly-anticipated boutique hotel on the V&A waterfront opens in March 2017. The Silo is the latest addition to hotelier Liz Biden’s impressive list of projects that include the Royal Malewane in the Greater Kruger National Park and La Residence in Franschhoek.
The Silo Hotel will be in the grain elevator portion of the historic grain silo complex which will be six floors above what will become the Zeitz Museum of Contemporary Art Africa. The Zeits Museum of Contemporary Art Africa will be opening its doors in September 2017. Guests at The Silo Hotel will have private access to the museum's collections which are said to compete with other big-name galleries such as the Tate Modern.
The 28 room hotel will have individually decorated-interiors furnished by Biden herself and representing the building's industrial history, whilst giving it a refined modern look. The 18ft glass windows of the rooms will give visitors views of Robben Island, Signal Hill, Devil’s Peak, Table Mountain, Lion’s Head and the ocean. Features include a spa, piano bar, cafe, gym and a rooftop restaurant with a champagne bar. There will also be a glass swimming pool which showcases these magnificent views.
