NYE isn’t just about amazing festivals in secret castles, or with immersive art stages, 3D projection mapping, incredible decor, and performance artists. There’s also cycling events and fun walks, a stand up comedy night, 7-course dinner, and more things to do on New Year’s Eve 2024.
Sexy Groovy Love’s exclusive party (just 600 tickets available) will be in a hidden castle, surrounded by mountains. There’ll be eclectic beats into midnight by headliner DJ JAMIIE, a heated pool, and an epic sunset. Convenient parking with complimentary shuttles ensures a magical and hassle-free party from start to finish. This could be the VIP New Year’s party you’re looking for.

The Grootbrak Grabadoo, a cycling event, is great for those who love starting the New Year in nature. With mountain bike trails from 15km to 69km (helmets required) and a scenic 4.8km fun walk for all ages, this Garden Route favourite blends outdoor adventure with community spirit, all while supporting local charities.
Time: From 6.45am

Kick off 2025 with laughter and good vibes at the Pinelands Club. Comedy heavyweights Dalin Oliver, Yaaseen Barnes, and KG Mokgadi will deliver the jokes, while Gareth Bew keeps the party going with live music. Food will be on sale, and kids can enjoy the dedicated Kids Zone with childminders.

Alcazar, Cape Town’s largest New Year’s Eve festival, features over 12 hours of music from top DJs like Shimza. Just a 10-minute Uber from the city centre, this year’s Disco Tropicana theme transforms the iconic three-storey stage into a sultry Polynesian fever dream. With gourmet food trucks and over 5 000 partygoers, it’s an unforgettable over-21 NYE celebration.

NYE celebrations at the V&A Waterfront is an iconic thing to do in Cape Town. It’s free and there’s always a fantastic lineup of local artists. This year is no different. There’ll be live performances by Matthew Mole, Mi Casa, and others, then cap off the night with a spectacular 5-minute fireworks display just before midnight.

RockSteady, one of Cape Town's favourite cover bands, will light up 2025 at this craft brewery famous for their cheeky beer names, inspired by sex, drugs, and rock ‘n roll. Tickets include a cocktail, three-course meal, and access to Woodstock Brewery’s beerhall. There’s secure parking and a limited taxi service for CBD and Atlantic Seaboard residents. Woodstock Brewery, is for music and craft beer lovers.
