‘Let Her Go’ singer is headed to Mzansi for a three-date concert series in February 2015!
Folk singer Mike Rosenberg, better known by his stage name Passenger, is set to make a pit stop in South Africa (his first visit to our sunny shores) to perform three concerts in major cities around the country from Friday, 13 to Sunday, 15 February 2015 to promote his Whispers (2014) album.
DATES FOR THE 2015 PASSENGER CONCERTS SOUTH AFRICA
This award-winning singer-songwriter will make his first trip to Mzansi to meet his South African supporters at some of the country’s spectacular outdoor and picturesque venues.
Brought to you by the awesome okes at Seed Experiences, Passenger’s SA visit comes hot off the heels of sold-out shows across Europe, Australia and New Zealand. Not to mention, the Cape Town concert forms part of the much-loved annual Sunday summer sunset concert series at the Kirstenbosch Botanical Gardens.
Best known for his break-out single ‘Let Her Go’ off his 2012 offering All the Little Lights, the 30-year-old muso learned to play classical guitar at a very early age and began composing his own songs during his teen years.
At 16, the youngster dropped out of school to pursue a career in music and spent the next few years busking around England and even Australia.
Mike formed a five-man band called Passenger in 2003 and the group’s debut album Wicked Man's Rest (2007) would be their only compilation before the ensemble disbanded in 2009.
Despite the band members going their separate ways, Mike continued to work under the band’s moniker for his solo project.
In short, with five albums and a 2014 Brit Award nomination for British Single of the Year under his belt, this Brighton-based former busker is sure to have crowds swaying and singing along to his catchy tunes.
