Taste Angolan and Congolese Flavours As Refugee Chefs Cook At This 10 Day Festival
Taste culinary heritage from across the continent at this year’s Refugee Food Festival
Step out of your culinary comfort zone on Saturday, 23 June to experience exceptional Congolese and Angolan cuisine at the Ginger & Lime Food Studio, as part of the 10-day Refugee Food Festival taking place in the city this month.
This initiative, which has a wide international reach and takes place in 15 European cities, invites refugee chefs to cook in local restaurants, as a means to raise awareness about the challenges refugees face and to celebrate cultural diversity through food and the enjoyment thereof.
Chef Patrick from Angola and Chef David from the Democratic Republic of Congo will be cooking up a storm (or rather, a feast) at Ginger and Lime, from 10:30 am, where they will be hosting a Pan-African cooking class.
The food, atmosphere, and community are set to be sensational. It’s a great way to expand your cultural horizons and enjoy a seven-course dinner accompanied by great wine.
