Single? Taken? It’s complicated? Valentine’s Day is all about embracing the love around you – your gals, bros, parents, partner(s). From a lipstick-making workshop and singles mingle to romantic dinners and dance parties. Here’s 14+ activities (and a gift idea) for 14 February 2024.
Did you know you can make your own lipstick? Join Lipped for a workshop where you learn how to create your own perfect shade with your gals, mom or kids. All equipment and materials are provided. Plus, you can make it a girls night in with an at-home workshop brought right to you.

Celebrating love doesn’t have to come with a big budget. And it’s a good thing that Valentine’s Day falls on a Wednesday this year. Michael's Kitchen and Bar has a special every Wednesday where you can get a free glass of wine with all pizzas. Sit outside or cozy up by the fireplace and enjoy a pulled pork or mexican mince pizza.

Looking for love in the city can be tough, especially if dating apps aren’t for you. Here’s an opportunity to meet someone the old fashioned way. La Parada Constantia is hosting a “Just a Pair of Lovebirds” party, where you get to chat and connect. The theme for this matchmaking event is Hollywood so get dressed up. Take the kids, your friends or significant other to a street art tour in the Company’s Garden (it's free). The International Public Art Festival will have live murals created by local and international artists, collaborative installations, food trucks and workshops for all ages. There’ll also be guided and self-guided street art tours.

This urban park has grassy lawns for games, sports, and there’s water features (which makes for a nice stroll). Furry friends can join too. There’s also a café for those wanting to buy food. Pienaar and Son Distilling Co. have collaborated with Please to bring their new line of Arouse and Replenish drinks (a great idea for a spicy gift). The Aphrodisiac Aperitif is infused with fig, honey, oyster shell and buchu. Follow with Replenish (made with coconut water, lemon and vodka).
