Zip Zap Circus’s latest show Kaleidoscope is on for four performances only.
---
When Zip Zap Circus’s VOOMA! returns at the Dome from 7 to 17 December 2023 for nine shows only, it will be even more dynamic. With not just ball and club juggling and aerial acts galore, but also side-splitting comedy, daring acrobatics and dances to get your feet tapping.
There’ll also be aerial silk, group acro dance and diabolo (also known as Chinese yo yo, the juggling of an axle and two hourglass-shaped cups) and many more acts. See reviews of the acclaimed show and what you can expect.

As VOOMA! marks another triumphant return to the Zip Zap Dome, here are some reviews left by the audience about the previous show:
“This is a show for everyone - not only children. I highly recommend booking asap! And you will be supporting such a great cause”, says Michelle.
"Magnificent! What a fabulously entertaining show! We, young and old, were absolutely enthralled!”, says Natasha.
“We went to watch the VOOMA! show with our four year old. It was incredible. There was a great balance of acrobatics, music, and dance and comedy to keep us laughing, mesmerised, and entertained”, says Trudy-Jo Daniels.
"Incredible talent, and pure trust! Loved every minute. Thank you! Very well organised", says Kathy.
"Performers were amazing, such talent and beautiful energy. My six year old and I loved our mommy son date”, says Jackie.
Nozi says: "Amazing show with some amazing talent! It was my first time watching ZipZap circus and I thoroughly enjoyed it.”
“The performers exceeded my expectations… I was blown away,” says Liesl Leonard Kroutz.
“Awesome performance by the kids. The show is not only for the children but for adults as well. We've been back again with the family and friends' kids and as expected, thoroughly enjoyed the show”, says Walied Toefy.
And Kaleb Conradie: "Very good show. Enjoyed it with my partner and nephew. Thanks for the amazing experience. Can’t wait for the show in August.”

Behind the curtains, Zip Zap’s vision is clear: They’re not only a circus show; they are also a stepping stone for marginalised youth.
This non-profit organisation has been a force of social change since 1992, opening its doors to thousands of South Africans from diverse backgrounds, who get to attend the circus school free of charge.
You’ll find trapeze artists from Diep River, unicyclists from Sea Point, acrobats from Mitchell's Plain and jugglers from Khayelitsha.
VOOMA! will be performed by cast members in Zip Zap’s Zappers and Dare2Dream programmes who are full-time circus school students. These local stars are choreographed by Zip Zap’s professional performers, whose craft has led them to perform in countries like France and Switzerland.

While a circus show is a great outing for young families to watch, VOOMA! is a performance of enticing thrills that is sure to entertain couples and friends alike. Couples can go out for dinner before the show at nearby restaurants like YU and The Conservatory, or friends can grab a drink after at the bar of the Rockefeller.

During interval, snacks, food and drinks are available to buy like boerewors rolls, chips and chocolates. Since VOOMA! is a cashless event, you need to use your credit and debit cards and SnapScan.
If you’d like to take a memento home with you, Zip Zap has a merchandise stall where you can get T-shirts, hoodies and even juggling balls and kids’ books.
