Ultimate X Festival
South Africa’s premier action sports festival tail-whips into Cape Town with another dope dose of skating, BMXing and more
Adrenaline junkies, are you ready? The Ultimate X Festival, a supreme showcase of daredevil stunts and competitions, s-bends and suicide-cans, makes its way into the Grand Arena at GrandWest Casino and Entertainment World, taking place on Saturday, 25 February 2017.
As South Africa’s only and largest extreme sports event – it’s now in its ninth year – the action-packed lifestyle fair looks to bring audiences a bigger, better, faster and more furious show with more intense high-flying acts and more top local and international athletes than before.
WHAT TO EXPECT AT THE 2017 ULTIMATE X FESTIVAL IN CAPE TOWN
EXTREME SPORTS COMPETITION: Top athletes from around the world in three different disciplines – FMX (freestyle motocross), BMX (bicycle motocross) and skateboarding – compete against each other in a riveting fashion. The winner in each category will boast the title of the 2017 Ultimate X champion and will get a third of the cash prize.
FUN DAY OUT: Now moved to the Grand Arena, lovers of adrenalin sports, families and fellow athletes will have a ball of a time at the ninth annual event. Spectators are invited to pack into the grandstands and to grab a spot atop the viewing decks to get up-close-and-personal glimpses of the incredible displays of gravity- and death-defying stunts and record-breaking attempts!
