From a giant gatsby to burgers and curries, get your veggie meals delivered
For all the vegetarians, vegans, flexitarians, or even the carnivores who would like to try something new, here are eight plant-based restaurants that are delivering - from a massive gatsby to burgers and Durban-style masalas.
Spur Steak Ranch has headed the veganuary call and introduced the pioneering vegan Beyond Burger. And it’s remarkable. Biting into the Spur Beyond Burger gives you the same substantial juicy flavours with some added health benefits and a collectively lighter footprint on the planet. But, if beef really isn’t your game (even the beef-like vegan options), there’s also a vegan schnitzel and a crumbed veggie burger. Both come with a side of chips or onion rings at Spur.
How to order: Spur is open for visitors. You can find the nearest spur to you and book online.
It’ll be hard to choose from the Herbivorous menu - highlights are the loaded fries, loaded mac ‘n cheese, and a loaded bacon salad, as well as the health bomb burger with a quinoa-sweet potato-lentil patty. The Mac Mazing Caramel smoothie, which includes maca powder, banana and dates, is the perfect sweet treat.
How to order: WhatsApp 061 584 5585, order online or via UberEats and Mr D

Nourish’d serves up a classic but delicious (and also healthy) plant-based meals. Try the avo and pesto on sourdough toast if you’re after something light. If you’re after something more substantial you can’t go wrong with the falafel wraps with beetroot hummus and chilli mint sauce. The cafe also offers cleanse programmes (from broths to juices) and various healthy smoothies.

Scheckter's RAW describes themselves as gourmet vegan health food. The smashed avo with diced Jalapeno chillies infused in truffle oil on Essene bread is divine. They also have frozen smoothies, like passionfruit, mango and banana with coconut mylk. Or treat yourself to a CBD brownie (with 5mg of CBD oil).

BamBoo Plant Power’s menu is 100% plant-based and includes items such as mushroom “bacon”, lettuce and tomato toastie or wrap. The Mexican-inspired bowl consists of smokey black beans on a quinoa base with roast pumpkin, pickled jalapenos, avocado, corn chips and a chopped salad.
