World-class chef Neill Anthony’s fresh, seasonal tasting menu is a foodie’s delight
La Mouette Restaurant in Sea Point is the kind of place that makes a dining experience memorable. The main building has a beautiful interior, but it’s the courtyard you want to head to, with its flowing fountain and magical atmosphere.
The restaurant’s summer tasting menu is created by celebrity chef Neill Anthony, and it includes mouth-watering dishes such as seared scallops with curry salt, pickled daikon radish and white almond gazpacho, or intriguing options like green goddess organic carrot with black garlic, cashew and labneh.
La Mouette is already synonymous with top-class fine-dining experience using only fresh seasonal ingredients.
“These new menu dishes showcase the exceptional range of authentic, French-inspired cuisine on offer at La Mouette. It combines classic dishes such as line fish and white onion tart with summer flavours using this season’s ripest ingredients.
The highlight of this menu is not only its innovative use of great, fresh flavours but also its commitment to seasonality and responding to the growing trends and demands of our diners.” says Chef Neill Anthony. Other dishes include crispy baby squid, slow-roast pork belly and yellowtail tartare.
Chef Neill Anthony, who has been trained in the kitchens of Gordan Ramsay, Marcus Wareing and other big names, often travels the world to cook in the private kitchens of prestigious clients and socialites. He was also the star of the 13-part television series Private Chef, which was broadcast in 160 countries including South Africa. This opportunity to try his food simply can’t be missed out on.
This menu will be running until 15 December, after which a new menu for the rest of the season will be announced. Book for La Mouette’s two-course meal for R350, three courses for R450, or the special five-course tasting meal for R350 (R650 with wine).
