Sizzling Summer Soirees at Stylish Sirocco
A Kalk Bay hotspot just a little more stunning
Sirocco has always been a popular and charming outdoor cafe shaded by the palm trees of Kalk Bay's Main Road but with a little winter renovation this summer hotspot is casual yet sophisticated. New structural designs by Thomas Leach are generating much buzz and interest amongst Cape Town's cool set.
Sirocco now boasts a stunning glass and blue gum pavilion and a beautiful curved wooden bar that spans the entire length of the restaurant and is made out of the floorboards from the old Majestic Hotel in Kalk Bay.
Sumptuous breakfasts morph lazily into sun soaked lunches whilst street theatre plays around you. Legendary three egg omelettes and salmon croissants yield to lunchtime delights including pan fried, calamari, beef sirloin and Prego rolls. The menu will soon be complimented and enhanced by a wood fired pizza oven for bread and gourmet pizza whilst an onsite store located in the historical old newsagents kiosk will serve up refreshing ice cream.
