When we asked you, our readers, who you missed the most during this pandemic, your responses were heartwarming, and proof that what we thirst for most during these times is human connection.
Mostly, we miss simple visits. Georgie Higgins from Cape Town just wants to see her cousin, and Samantha February, from Hanover Park, would love to meet up with her sisters, while Lee-Anne Bennett, misses her dear friend, whom she hasn’t seen since the start of lockdown.
This is who you’d Uber to soon if we gave you a R250 Uber Go voucher. Read more of your answers. Plus find out about Uber’s newest ride, Uber Go, which aims to connect friends and family for cheaper – rides can cost as little as R20.
We asked the question above, and we loved your heartwarmning answers
This pandemic has many of us feeling like we're worlds apart from our loved ones, even when they’re only a suburb away. Marthie Brits wants to take her parents out. "I don't want to visit somebody, but will take my parents, mom 84 and dad 89, to the sea. We in (sic) Brackenfell."
But the Uber Go trip that would make a huge difference to Natasha Julius would be the one that takes her to see her son: “It would get me to (the) airport when I eventually can travel to the USA to see my son, haven't seen him in 18 months.”

The first person Lei Tanya would visit is her “...friend n (sic) sister Patience Kundai Mungate ....miss her a lot ...seems we're worlds apart. She's in the northern suburbs and (I) am in the southern suburbs. Miss u gal.”
Lee-Anne Bennett says she misses her dear friend Andrew; “I have not seen him since the first lockdown began. Our weekly walks and talks are greatly missed.”
We all understand what it's like to want to connect with our loved one.
Seeing family offers a much-needed break at the end of a tough week. Georgie Higgins says she would visit her cousin Celeste Holden. “She has been working in the ICU Covid ward, and I want to spoil her with a dinner out, a massage and some love for all her hard work."

Loréal Du Plessis says she misses her sister, Zanay Pasha, a lot. “I haven't seen her in months, and I would love to see her in person to catch up because she always makes me feel better.”
Samantha February would use Uber Go to her sisters, too. “Love to meet up with my sisters ... They match my crazy all the way, and there's never a dull moment."
Uber is mindful of the high cost of connecting, both in terms of safety and cost. So it has launched Uber Go, with trips starting from R20.
Drivers operate with smaller, more fuel-efficient vehicles, meaning it can offer more affordable fares. For instance, an Uber Go fare from Observatory to the city centre would cost R47, or from Milnerton to Century City would cost R42. And while this is more affordable, it comes with the same door-to-door safety features.

Uber is also conscious of the increasing numbers of Covid-19 infections and has brought in numerous Covid-safety precautions.
First things first: no mask, no ride. Every Uber driver will follow the standard Covid-19 safety precautions.
And if you didn’t know, Uber is very safety conscious and offers innovative safety features. This includes driver background checks, "Check My Ride", where riders can confirm the driver, the vehicle make and model and license plate in-app before the trip starts.
As an optional extra layer of protection, Uber has created a PIN verification feature to help make sure riders are always getting into the right car, and riders also have access to an in-app emergency button that connects to third-party security.
