The guys from Vannie Kaap, a Cape Town themed clothing and accessory store, and Radisson RED are bringing a bit of Cape Malay magic to heritage month. They’re hosting an event to celebrate the inaugural World Koesister Day (not Koeksister) in honor of the soft doughy, coconut covered, non-twirly version of the sweet treat. To do this, they're running a competition where anyone can enter their koesister recipe for a cash prize and the chance to be crowned the "Kwaiest Koesister" for World Koesister Day 2019.

100 WRITERS AND THINKERS IN 5 DAYS

This five-day literary festival hosted at the Fugard Theatre, District 6 Museum and much-loved indie bookshop, The Book Lounge, celebrates local rock star writers and draws in international authors.
