Word on the street is that there’s a healthy and affordable ramen spot coming to Cape Town – here’s what we know so far
Earlier in 2018, at the chef and food industry event Convivium, we learned of a new concept restaurant that’s in the works – based on simple, healthy and nutritious ramen.
If you've eaten at Downtown Ramen in Cape Town, you’ll know what ramen is. It's a nutritious noodle-and-broth-based dish that's been the talk of the town in many cities around the world, including Cape Town.
Not least because these bowls of broth filled with noodles and chunks of veggies and meat are so good for you.
We heard a rumbling earlier this year that a novel ramen concept, called Township Ramen, is coming to Cape Town. And the idea seems to be based on creating food that’s healthy, affordable and accessible to nearly everyone. But, as this Instagram post shows, there’s definitely something interesting and noteworthy coming:
What is Township Ramen exactly? We’re just as intrigued as you are. And we intend to do a full feature on it as soon as we learn more.
We'll get you the insight in our weekly newsletter – make sure you get it.
