Get a taste of coastal Baja Mexican cuisine, like tacos and homemade tortillas, but with an elevated twist. Located where Chefs Warehouse once stood, Hacienda is bringing new flavour to Bree Street.

Hacienda brings “the spirit of Baja California to the tables of Cape Town”. Tantalize your taste buds with an explosion of elevated Mexican flavours. You can experience it all, from Baja lobster (crispy tempura lobster tacos) and charred octopus on a charcoal grill to simple homemade tortillas and signature “5 chili oil”.
Let’s talk tacos: Try the Brisket Adobo with salsa macha, pineapple sesame seed salsa and Los Danzantes Reposado mezcal pickled Sandia. Image: Hacienda Cape Town
There is no shortage of tequila on this menu, from reposado (made by aging blanco tequila for 3-6 months in American Oak barrels) to anjero (aged between 1-4 years), there are over 40 options to choose from. If you can’t decide, do a patron tequila tasting to understand and savour the different flavours. Or, have some fun with the extravagant cocktail menu.
