Shop gifts and gems at a shaded market in the park.

On Saturday, 5 August 2017 the Community Food and Craft Market returns to Edgemead Community Hall for locals looking to spend a day browsing stalls, munching on yummies, enjoying the atmosphere and keeping the kiddies occupied.
The market will boast vendors selling everything from antique furniture to bath bombs, picture frames to pin cushions, jewellery to crockery, cutlery to shoes and absolutely everything in between! You’ll be able to pick up a few good reads to enjoy while winter slowly fades. Grab a delicious coffee and maybe a croissant (if you’ve been good), and revel in the charming atmosphere that this market delivers.
Markets are a favorite of most Capetonians, and we cannot wait to see what the residents of Edgemead come up with at the August edition of this community-run market. The monthly market focuses on giving local producers the spotlight, and allowing them to connect with their customers. There is no better way to get to know local artisans than to head down to your closest community market.
If you produce or source something lovely and would love to show it on the day, please feel free to inquire with the organisers about renting a stall. You can do so by sending a picture and description of the products that you produce to dm.clarke@mweb.co.za. Happy crafting!
TICKETS TO THE 2017 EDGEMEAD COMMUNITY MARKET AT THE EDGEMEAD COMMUNITY HALL
Entrance to this market is absolutely free, which leaves you more money to spend on the locally-made goods on offer. If you have any questions or queries, please contact the organisers directly by sending them an email - dm.clarke@mweb.co.za.
As previously stated, Capetonians love markets and because we love Cape Town, we’ve developed a list of all of the markets in and around the Mother City for all to enjoy. Check it out! For night owls, you’ll be delighted to know that we also have an overview of night markets for you to enjoy; everyone likes a good night market.
