As a part of the Cape Town Vegan Challenge, which is happening this October, volunteer NPO Vegilicious and The Fry Family Food Co. are teaming up for the vegan cooking experience that vegans, and veggie lovers in general, simply must attend. On Friday, 20 October 2017 Chez Gourmet is playing host to the interactive foodie event. The fun kicks off at 6pm.
The event will see participants get involved with the food prep and making directly, so it’s a wonderful hands-on learning experience. Learn how to create culinary showstoppers with Fry’s products, learn about new ingredients and cooking methods, mingle with fellow foodies and much more.
Vegan enthusiasts can expect a whole host of food-tastic recipes, techniques and tastes, all of which will be explained and demonstrated by a team of very talented vegan chefs at the event. Patrons will be able to update their knowledge of plant-based recipes, learn how to handle fresh and organic produce, and how to perfectly pair flavours to make sensational dishes free of animal products.
Most vegans and vegetarians will be well familiar with The Fry Family Food Co., as one of the most prolific vegetarian food producers in the country. They make the best veggie nuggets ever, and even meat eaters have been known to crave those little morsels of flavour! At the Cooking Experience you’ll get a sneak peek at the newest range from Fry’s. You’ll be amazed at the culinary masterpieces you can create by mixing Fry’s items with other vegan-friendly products and ingredients.
For those who don’t already know, the Cape Town Vegan Challenge encourages vegans based in Cape Town to eat at various vegan venues across the city as part of an attempt to raise awareness around veganism as an environmental cause and healthy lifestyle choice. The city has some amazing vegan-friendly restaurants, and the Cape Town Vegan Challenge wants to show them to you in a fun and interactive way!
