Nothing says festive spirit quite like a cold tequila on a hot Cape Town Summer’s day. Add a dash of live local music, a splash of food trucks and you have an unlimited supply of reasons to enjoy the International Tequila Festival, from Friday 1 to Sunday 3 November 2019.
IT’S A MEXICAN FIESTA
Festival-goers can expect an event dedicated to all things Mexican – from tequila, mezcals and other agave spirits, right down to tacos, nachos, burritos, quesadillas and Mexican-themed pizzas. Plus, there’ll be over 30 activations taking place from various alcohol brands such as Ponchos, Sierra Tequila, Don Julio, Patron and more. Eats will be on sale from food trucks such as Chilangos Mexican Kitchen, Dos Chido, Senor Onion Mexican and American-style food trucks such as Blue Smoke BBQ SA, Love Burgers and more.
THREE DAYS OF LIVE TUNES
What’s tequila without live music to dance too? Expect a host of live performances from some of South Africa’s favourite bands and artists all weekend long. Popular names include The Kiffness, Prime Circle, Biggy and Matt Carstens. See the full lineup here.
