If you’re not from the area, you might not have stumbled upon Paradise Park. This hidden garden is tucked away between Claremont and Newlands, and is home to the biggest tree house in Cape Town.
LET THE KIDS RUN WILD
Paradise Park is a kiddies dream playpark, with the tree house, which stretches across several large trees, being the main attraction. It consists of platforms, ladders plus a bridge - a perfect play spot for the little ones’ imaginations to run wild. You’ll have to go on a little adventure to find the wooden fort enveloped by foliage.
There are also two playgrounds, where you’ll find swings, slides, roundabouts, balancing beams, climbing structures, see-saws, a wooden plane and even another smaller tree house. Bring a towel along because there’s a small stream to splash around in.

UNWIND WITH A WALK ALONG A STREAM
Although the sign on the tree house reads “kiddies only”, Paradise Park can also be enjoyed by the grownups. There are paths snaking through it, ideal for a stroll in the fresh air (while taking in the mountain views above the tree line), plus the open spaces on the grass are perfect for a (socially distant) picnic.
