Support the fight against cancer with the The PINK Xtreme Trail Run

Grab your running shoes and get going for a good cause!

October is breast cancer awareness month, and to show their support, the Vrede en Lust estate is hosting the PINK Xtreme Trail Run, for all those athletic adventurers looking for a way to get active for a great cause!

This year, the second ever installment, will see three courses of varying lengths through tricky terrain challenge all competitors. These courses will cover 17km, 10km and 5km with the routes taking runners up hills, through vines, down gullies, across fields and back again on a picturesque tour of the estate.

Breast cancer is said to affect one in every 26 women in South Africa making it one of the most prevalent cancers in our country. The Cancer Association of South Africa encourages women to screen themselves regularly and make sure they adopt a balanced lifestyle where possible, part of which is keeping fit. So get your blood pumping on Sunday 15 October, and support this worthy cause.

All the proceeds from the PINK Xtreme Trail Run go directly to the Tygerberg Hospital Breast Clinic Transport Fund to continue their noble work saving lives. If you’d love to contribute but can’t make it to the run, you can make a donation to CANSA directly.
