The Guy is Alive at Jack Black’s Brewing Company

Another local band will hit the stage at the newly opened brewery in the Southern Suburbs!

On Friday, 7 July 2017 The Guy is Alive is heading to Jack Black’s Brewery for a night of lekker local music, craft beer and gourmet burgers. This event is the perfect way to spend a Friday night; it’s chilled, fun and a brilliant place to reconnect with friends!

The Guy is Alive was formed in 2014, and is made up of five dudes and one lovely lady. Namely, the band members are Jayson, Rudeboy, Vinnie, Ricardo, Dylon and Alanna Joy. The specialise in pop-rock and they love taking their audiences on a musical journey; don’t miss your chance to see this up-and-coming band perform live at one of Cape Town’s beloved breweries. I can’t think of anything more perfect than listening to three hours of authentic music, while digging into a gourmet burger and sipping on a craft beer made with local flare. Celebrate your love of music with an evening of good food, good friends and great beers. On offer at the event, the brewery will have all of their beers on tap; Brewers Lager, Atlantic Weiss, Cape Pale Ale, Keller Pils, Butcher Block, Lumberjack and Skeleton Coast. The Jack Black Brewmaster personally sourced and selected the hops from a small farm in the Outeniqua Valley. The undertaste is one of grass and citrus, with fresh berries and grapefruit earthed with a slight wooded taste, to round off the experience.

While we are on the topic of delicious taste experiences, let’s talk about the burgers. Their Butcher Block Burger combines a freshly baked bun coated in seeds with a handmade 200g burger patty. They baste their burgers in their special BBQ sauce and  top the patty with feta, gherkins, streaky bacon and fresh rocket. The Oh Crumbs Chicken Burger combines jalapenos, brie cheese, caramelized onions and mustard mayo with crumbed free range chicken breast. Their ‘Fall Apart’ burger is made up of slow cooked pulled pork, coriander and asian coleslaw. Sounds yum!
