Every Saturday from 3-7pm, A Touch of Madness in Observatory hosts Touchdown Saturdays. This summer afternoon party has DJs playing in the sunny courtyard, creating the perfect vibe to drink beer with your friends.
The bar boasts an impressive selection of 12 local craft beers on tap, a wide selection of local wines and delicious cocktails. If the sun and live music isn’t enough, there are drinks specials to match. On Saturday afternoons you’ll get a jug of beer from R100, or cocktail jugs for between R130 - R165.
There are classics like the Gin & Tonic Jug or Pimms & Lemonade Jug, or you can opt for something more exotic like the Touch of Madness signature Anglo-Turkish Delight made with rose syrup and bitters. And if you can’t choose between a beer and a cocktail, there’s the Beergarita Jug including all the refreshment of a lager with the bite of tequila and lime.
The daily Happy Hour special between 5-6pm also still stands on Saturdays. You can get two-for-one tequila, craft beer pints for R30, wine for R20 per glass or R60 per bottle.
The food menu pairs perfectly with the selection of drinks, offering all the best pub grub from around the world including burgers, chicken wings, nachos, chilli poppers and more.
Saturday opening hours: 12pm - 11pm (kitchen closes at 10pm) but if there’s a party on that night, the closing time is 1:30am.
